Meet Your Expert Guide: Dr. Julio Bruna Novillo​

A Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (FAusIMM CPGeo), Dr. Bruna is also a member of the Society of Economic Geologists, the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, and the Professional Geology Board of Córdoba. His expertise spans economic geology, geological modeling, QA/QC protocols, sampling, database management, and mineral resource assessment in accordance with international standards such as JORC and NI 43-101.

He has worked extensively on projects involving epithermal and porphyry Cu-Au-Mo deposits, lithium brines, and both base and precious metals. Notable projects include Bajo de la Alumbrera, Agua Rica, Zafranal, and Cobre Panamá. His experience covers all phases of the mining cycle—from greenfield exploration to feasibility studies and production—along with leadership in drilling program design, budgeting, and team management.

In addition to his consulting and technical work, Dr. Bruna has served as a professor at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba for over twenty years. He is also the author of two chapters in the Drilling Manual for Geologists and Engineers (2016), covering drilling mud and mining drilling practices.
